Criminal Law

We undertake cases as the complainant’s counsel and as special representative for children, among other things. We are appointed by the district court or at the request of the individual. Our aim is always to create the best conditions for our clients, and ensure that the client’s rights are protected, both before and during a trial.

Complainant’s counsel

As a victim of a crime, you may be entitled to a complainant’s counsel. You have the right to choose who will represent you. The state will cover the cost. As a victim of a crime, you can often find yourself in a difficult and stressful situation. We do everything we can to ensure you feel safe during the legal process and well prepared before a trial. We will also inform you about the entitlement to compensation and prepare compensation claims.

Special representative for children

In the event of a suspected crime against a child, a special representative is appointed if the suspect is the child’s guardian or relative of the guardian and the guardian’s relationship with the suspect prevents the child’s rights from being respected.

A special representative for children assumes the guardian’s responsibilities and ensures that the child’s claims and rights are met and respected throughout the process. We have knowledge and personal qualities that make us well suited to dealing with the special issues and relationships that arise when children are involved in criminal proceedings.
